Sounds like Ford is using a bad design or very cheap parts.
focus may or may not SUCK but your reason for saying it does SUCKS.
let me give you another example, my dad bought an '88 honda accord the same year i bought a Mustang LX 5.0. He changed 3 clutches before in 3 years and in the 6 years i owned that mustang, NO work on the clutch at all.
does that automatically mean the Honda Accord SUX??
NO, if you knew that model of honda you'd now that it was extremely low on torque and geared HIGH in first so you HAD to ride the clutch to have a smooth take off.
the 'Stang on the other hand had a CLUTCH that was like STEEL and had WAY to much torque so i never needed to ride the clutch.
