Dude, please tell me that your wife mistakenly bought girl boots thinking they were for boys. No way, those could be boy boots.

That is what I immediately said, she swore they were in the boys section...I was like what ever.

She got them at Walmart...I happened to have to go there tonight so I took a stroll through that area and sure enough there were ton's of these boots in the boy's boot section...total fail on Walmart's part for stocking such a suck item.

What did your boy think of the boots before he wore them to school?

Since he came home crying after getting picked on I think he got the point, he didn't view them as bad but knew something was up when we were 'discussing them' before he went to school.

He read the wife the riot act the whole way up the driveway...I chuckle thinking how that convo went ha ha ha.

Seems like an honest mistake to me....they are a bit girly though. Maybe they were on sale and she thought no one would notice?
Either way you slice it though there is no way in hell I'd let my 9 yo son go to school in those boots.

I honestly think those are mens boots, but maybe targeted towards gay men... with small feet? The bottom is totally mens, but the shiny diamonds and fur are absolutely not.

THANK YOU for the backing...

I told her if I showed a picture of THESE boots to ANY guy the IMMEDIATE response would be "Not No...but HELL NO"

She laughed this morning...this afternoon...not so much!

Yea probably, first comment was a joke, but how many kids "hate" girls at that age? Clearly, hating at that age isn't indicative of their likes later.

I still hate women, and I'm 100% hetero. I think wearing girly boots is a better sign. :p

He said that she was surprised that they would be seen as girly in the op. Did you not read it?

/faceplam

Yeah and it has nothing to do with her possibly mistakenly buying girl boots thinking they were boy boots.

You'd think when the OP replied saying he thought the same thing, you'd get the clue but no, not you.

You failed at being the cool dad for giving in and sent him to the battlefield with those furry boots. Wife didn't know any better and neither did the kid but you did, and yet failed simply to avoid the shitstorm. Poor little guy.

I've got a son and two daughters. Back when my boy was that age, if I had caught my wife sending him to school in boots like that I would have just kept him home.

After a trip to buy him some real boots, we would have hung out at the mall spotting chicks from the top floor. Then I'd have taken him home and we'd have grilled steaks for lunch. After that we'd have spent the afternoon watching movies like The Wild Bunch or Enter the Dragon or anything with John Wayne in it.

When I tucked him into bed that night I'd remind him that "Daddy love you, buddy."
