it took me this long to see that internet explorer, doesnt matter what version will drain your memory down to 0. first open that resources meter in program/accessories/system tool or add this in add/remove program in control panel. first I'm down to like 10 percent, im using 512meg of ram btw and have only DC running. after closing all IE windows, it went back to 66 percent. this is sad how microsoft write such crappy software and want to take over the world with it. the resource meter will show you 3 kind of resources, once it goes down to 0, you are in trouble. it will suck you dry no matter how much memory you have, where did it goes? I don't know, ask microsoft.

I don't have any problems. This should be put in the OPERATING SYSTEMS forum. And, have you ever heard of capitolizing the first letter of your sentenses? Your post is very hard to read. Lock?

It doesn't use all my memory, but each instance of IE usually uses between 16 and 32 megs of RAM. That seems just a bit high to me.

Yes, Microsoft is evil because one of their pieces of software doesn't work right on your computer.... to this date I don't think I've ever defended MS, but IE works just fine on many systems, perhaps it's your computer that's having the trouble.

Thats pretty much a Win98 thing.

I have 512MB of RAM too and a similar thing used to happen to me. Turned out that one of my RAM sticks were faulty giving errors ( I forget how I found this out ). I still haven't changed the stick but installing Win2k solved all my RAM problems.
