LXi, who the hell cares what he said, he was joking- maybe a lil nap or something dude? You're a lil tense. :p

Loosen up- it's a forum on the net where you are supposed to have fun and learn. :)

Life is too short to get worked up about silly comments.

Go out and have a nice day man! :)

LXI,

Tone?? how can anyone "listen" to ones "tone" via a forum? things can get mixed in all sorts of ways when someone doesnt really understand what the other is saying. i wouldnt take things so personlly online, as there are 40000+ members here on the forums and imagine if half of them had the same "tone" as the other guy did! now i would never deny you the credit that you deserve for helping people out, just dont take things so...to heart.

Ok I don't want to get into all this discution thingy. I just want to ask a question.

I got 18225 in win2k with an Abit KT7 and a Promise FastTrak 66 controller and a 20.5 gig quantum hard drive. That was using the Via 4in1 4.25a drivers. What I'm woundering is if I should upgrade to the 4.26, 4.27, or 4.28? Or should I leave it as is?

jsbush:

Keep using your Promise drivers, the 4.26/27(there is no 28) beta are only meant to optimize VIA 686B southbridge ATA100 performance under Win2K, if you're getting good performance, leave it as it is.

<< Yeah, and watch out for the MSI and ASUS zealots too... >>

You need not watch out for them, for they have far less RMA?s! :Q

Insane3D,

Try that again when you've really become more mature, think about it, why would somebody that is mature keep pulling on the strings when he knows it will only worsen the situation?

Hehehe?my ABIT BH6, and BX6 Rev2 both died after 6 months of use. Actually correction, I believe the Rev2 died only after 4 months. I refused to get RMA?s because ABIT was such a bit*h to deal with when returning boards. I just vowed never to buy ABIT again.
