I got em hanging on my wll 😛

Even if you managed to "resurrect" the drive, why risk putting your data on it? Hard drives, even SCSI drives that size, are cheap.

Even if you insist on a 10krpm SCSI drive, hypermicro.com has new 18GB Atlas 10K drives for $75. If you're willing to step down to 7200rpm, you they have several that are under $60.

Thanks. I have a 9GB 10k SCSI I will be using.

As for why I am using scsi..its all i have....everything else is in use

Oh, I wasn't criticising your use of SCSI. I use a mixture of SCSI and IDE in one of the machines in my office (hey, when you have an onboard SCSI interface, might as well use it, right? 🙂 ).
