i get ~2Mbits on Wireless, keeps me happy
Where did you read that??? I think coax can handle higher speeds than that, from my experience and what I have read.Originally posted by: FFMCobalt
Um... it's broadband. It's supposed to be fast. Oh, and you're not getting 3.2 megabytes per second (MBps). That's 25.6 megabits per second (Mbps) and there's no way in hell you're getting that. The most you can physically get from coaxial cable is 10 megabits per second (Mbps) which translates to 1.25 megabytes per second (MBps).
Atleast... IIRC.

That's because you haven't upgraded to Comcast Pro yet. It's $90/month. You get 3.0Mbps down and 384kbps up. You also get two "static" IPs with a 6-month lease on each IP (3-month half life, obviously). It's nice to have two "static" IPs, but the upstream really isn't enough to do anything with.
