Pretty much everyone in California is a total pussy when it comes to weather.

<----- lived in California for 2 years and agrees. But then again, if you were stuck in a state that let you wear shorts in December, I guess you can't blame them.

That was unfvckingcool, the power in Torrance went out and fubarred a disk-image-synch session (I made updates to the customer disk images and was uploading the new images to the server over there)

Took me 45 minutes to get my local operative on the phone and get things fixed. Now I have to re-upload 10 gigs.

Damn you californians and your earthquake-hardened and yet weather-soft infrastructure!

It ain't a cool feeling when a quarter of your network [VPN] drops off the face of the earth in the middle of somthing important.

No, I think it's rediculous that there's an entire state filled with so many nancyboys and that your fvcking utilities are vulnerable like that. It ain't gonna stop me from going fullscale at that location and taking even more of your money, though!

Wow, there was just a heavy 5 minute surge of rain. I thought my roof was going to collapse. Car alarms are going off. Damned storm!

I'll still blame them. 😀

actually the rain isnt too bad .. i went out last night, as long as you stay AWAY from areas that flood or cross them carefully you are fine.

Overcast in Northern Cali..a strong front is approaching, supposed to be heavy rain and a couple feet of new snow in the low mountains

I grew up in SoCal. When I joined the army, I ended up in Georgia. After 11 years in GA, SC and NC and 6 years up here in the Midwest I have become accustomed to harsh weather.

Now when I go back to SoCal for a visit it is so damn funny to see them freak out over a little light rain. And it's even funnier to watch them bundle up in parkas and thermal undies when it gets below 60 degrees. I'll be in shorts and a T-Shirt and they'll look at me like I'm nuts.
