(AP) - The House overwhelmingly agreed to abolish the embattled Immigration and Naturalization Service on Thursday and create two new agencies to handle enforcement and immigration services. The bill passed the House 405-9 just hours after Attorney General John Ashcroft made a special trip up to the Capitol to endorse the legislation.

*gasp* does this mean a government agency might be (god forbid) effective?

It's about time. I'm glad something happened, immigration really needs to be reformed.

Ah, so now we can have two good-for-nothing agencies instead of one. Outstanding.

Probably with 4X the budget too, while achieving 1/4 the effectiveness...YEAH!!

Winner! Took 10 posts for someone to get it. It was really my only reason for posting this, since that's always been one of my favorite scenes.
