Oh My God...The Grizzlies got Robbed Tonight by the Lakers!!!

I didnt' see the game, but I saw the highlights on SportsCenter. Too bad there's no "challenge" in the NBA. :|

If you would have seen the game and want to complain about the refs, you would have seen a horrible call earlier in the OT when Shaq cleanly and clearly blocked the ball on the way up, yet it was called a goaltend. That was two points for the Grizz that was a complete gimme. If there was a "challenge" in the NBA, that shot would have never been a goaltend, and the score would have been 111-110 Lakers.

Also, the reason they the shot by Shaq at the end of the game counted is because he was fouled on the shot, Shaq actually shot a free throw after the shot which many of the sports highlights shows neglected to mention. The foul was called with .4 left on the clock, so the shot counted on the continuation.

That said the Lakers played like crap, they should not have needed OT to beat the Grizz.

While the clock has been raised, the clock stopped at 0.6 for at least 0.2 seconds. There was something seriously messed up with that game. Expect a formal protest to be filed by the Grizz.

No kidding, the Lakers were jobbed by the refs on at least 4 plays in that game that directly affected the game. Numerous clean steals and blocks were called fouls, Kobe was mugged repeatedly without no calls. The game was badly offciated from start to finish.

Not that it would do any good, the NBA doesn't reverse games because of a protest. And even if they did, the refs would have to admit they absolutely blew the goaltending call on Shaq. Not only was that shot on the way up, it also didn't have a good chance to go in so it was a clean block no matter how it's looked at.

It sure is sucks :disgust:

But what can you do......... you win some, you lose some.

If you believe in Karma the Grizzlies will win the Championship next year 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman
