I've been really sick, lots of coughing fits,it seems my back has gone out,I'm having spasms so bad I want to die.Plus the asthma meds have me wanting to jump out of my skin.

Knowing you, I thought you were going to be complaining about having the bring in your latest sweepstakes haul of PS3s and Vitamixes.

I've had moderate success in controlling back pain with hot baths with epsom salt.

I have prescription muscle relaxers for my back. They are very random in that they dont always work. I think it has alot to do with when i eat and such in relation to taking a pill.

Here, let me rub that for ya...I have nice big..........hands...;)

With my fucked-up back, this last bout of flu was painful. I'd go into coughing spasms that would trigger back pain spasms...
AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

We have one of the "Thera-beads" heat packs that you toss in the microwave for 1-1/2 minutes and then enjoy about 10 minutes of nice moist heat.
Works so much better than an electric heating pad, but you have to re-nuke it every 10-15 minutes.
When things get REALLY bad...well, that's why I keep Valium in the drug box...I can't take any of the Vicodan formulations, and Oxycodone is overkill that really doesn't do anything for the back pain anyway...but Valium and Flexeril work wonders...

I am sitting in my chair with a good heating pad across my lower back... took an anti-spasm med of some sort and can at least type.

I went back to work too soon after being ill fortunately I'm off tomorrow and Friday.

I'm sure eits will recommend a visit to your friendly neighborhood chiropractor...which probably isn't a bad idea anyway...
