?Enriched? (I assume that?s the same as honors or gifted) English should be easy as hell. Consider it a break. You?ll be reading fine literature and doing a lot talking in class, with the occasional report due. Consider it a break from lame spelling and grammar assignments and quizzes. In social studies, expect more intelligent discussion in class about current events, and fewer lame history assignments. Smile, you got another break. Enriched math and science on the other hand might load you up with a bit more homework, but you?ll probably enjoy it a lot more because you might actually learn some stuff.

Good luck :)

Joe.

Grade 8 wasn't highschool for me, still middle school. It was a breeze, I was in all the "high" classes, I'm guessing that's what enriched is. Besides Algebra and Science (same teacher) homework was rather scarce, especially for English. Hell, I've read more in the past 2 days that I read all year for that English class (Great Expectations and now The Fellowship of the Ring for summer reading). 8th should be a breeze, Junior year is the last year I HAVE to take real classes, but senior year i'm gonna load up on college courses, now that's gonna suck a whole lot more than 8th grade.

Enriched means honors ( for my high school), dunno about gifted.

That's great! Do you think we have to read Lord of The Rings by any chance?

hmm...for some reason, i still feel screwed over here.

that's cool. I actually like the idea of class levels. like, some dumbest student wont slow down the whole class, he goes to math moderated, and the smart students dont get held back and they go to Enriched or Accelerated <-- crazy math work, they do 2 grades of math in one year i think..

well, thanks for the info guys! helped me get not so panicky :)
