watched this last weekend with my wife and some others, and was very surprised how much i enjoyed the movie. everyone liked it a lot more than they expected to. just a very well done movie that was a lot of fun. i loved the scenery too. i haven't seen 50 first dates since it was new, but i liked this movie more than i remember liking that movie.

As much as I love that movie, I'm not going to call Sandler's performance "acting talent." He was being himself, and it just so happens that being himself was the perfect thing for that role.

Adam Sandler is like that friend. That all your friends tell you to stop hanging out with, but you ignore them simply because the two of you have had some great times in the past together. But the more you hang out with him, the more you start to realize that they were right.

My son wanted to see this movie for some reason so we ordered it on PPV and watched it recently. It was enjoyable... not entirely worthless anyway.

He is right though. The only more enjoyable movie watching experience than a theater, is an IMAX theater. I see a lot of movies, because I enjoy seeing them in theaters. Sadly (for them), I don't enjoy paying $15 for popcorn and a drink after already spending $25 on two tickets, so I don't buy their money making items: concessions.

People take their childhood icons seriously. We will never get another live action Dr. Suess movie because of Cat in the Hat.
Sandler still delivers at the box office (how did Jack and Jill make $150m?). Love Guru didn't.
