Like I said in the other thread...

Maybe one day we'll get back to a point in our society where someone can actually dislike something without feeling the insane need to let everyone they possibly can know about it...usually in some vain attempt to convince as many folks as possible to not like what they don't like so they can be joined in their abyss of constant misery they call life.

Too bad it's probably wishful thinking that will never happen however.

Which is why you said the same thing in two threads including bumping an old one?

Yeah, you've got some serious pot/kettle stuff going on there, bud.
Think about it.

You're nuts. All the past ones have been fantastic. And most of his films are hilarious.

That being said they are getting way to old for this. But I'd be willing to give it a shot.

I don't think so. They scaled the movie with their age (older kids, etc.). Personally, I love both of them and I think their movies are hilarious. People are so uptight.

Incredibly blended. Thought he already did this movie with Jennifer Aniston, Just Go With It. Although I guess in that movie it was his assistant and her kids at a resort so hey, new idea!

LOL, true!....seen it (Blended),and yes, its quite bad, some real cringe moments!

I like Drew Barrymore, but Adam Sandler is one of the actors I avoid like the plague.

I've never figured out the appeal of either myself, at least Drew used to be easy on the eyes.

Sandler's attempts at humor always seemed more like a turd falling to the pavement to me.

16%. Ooops.
Needed more blood. More explosions. And at least 45 minutes of her boobs bouncing around on screen. Not THAT is a guaranteed 87% hit.
One thing for sure, chalk another one up for Eric Cartman and Awesom-O.

Probably won't have to cancel your Netflix account as they're likely to go out of business because of this.

This has got to be about the stupidest business decision I've ever heard of.

He made one good movie, Happy Gilmore, and a couple OK movies, but since then they've been so bad they should be illegal under the Geneva convention.

Sandler's movie career needs to fucking die, already. Or his overzealous fan base. Only they would pay him twice of what he spent to dress up in drag.

Sandler's going to make 4 movies with Netflix:

Sandler jokes that when Netflix approached him with a four-movie deal, "I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only….Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks," said Sandler. "Let the streaming begin!"

I was going to dig up one of the threads about Netflix Originals. I'm definitely getting a bad feeling about that stuff now. They're also pissing off movie studios even more and now theaters as they're also making a sequel to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon that is going on Netflix at the same time it premiers in IMAX theaters (and possibly general release ones?). Apparently theaters are starting to band together to not show it or something (which is bullshit on their part). Considering how the content companies have already been trying to isolate Netflix, that likely will mean they're going to have to rely more and more on paying for exclusive content.

Basically they're trying to beat HBO and hoping that their install base gets them there while HBO is stuck doing the deals with cable/satellite that prevents them from offering widespread independent internet subscription service.

I would rather see CTHD2 in theaters, due to the nature of the film. But, if they refuse to show it, less money I am spending on popcorn and soda going into their pockets. Doesn't really hurt Netflix much, IMO.

This is changing. HBO is starting to be more internet only friendly. So, we might not need cable access to get HBO Go access in the near future.

This. If this is what Netflix is doing with my money, rather than making House of Cards season 3, they don't fucking deserve it!

WTF are you talking about, they're making season 3 right now.

I don't think he even has a fanbase now. I don't see anyone that defends his movies (well other than some of the whiney "people just hate it because it's popular" dipshits on here). Even people I know that like a lot of horribly stupid/shitty movies thinks his movies are terrible now. I don't know who the fuck is still going to them? Junior high kids?

I agree, which is why they're doing it as a big IMAX production. That's what theaters need to realize is what things they can offer that few if anyone can get at home and then focus on offering those experiences. People will go to see them then. Unfortunately for them, I think there are big changes coming that will further recede what they can offer. These new virtual reality headsets can offer experiences like IMAX and 3D better than movie theaters can.

It is changing, but very slowly and I have a hunch it will be quite a while before we see that change like people want. I believe outside of the US you can now pay for HBO Go singular subscription (but there's good reasons for that, and why that isn't being done here). HBO themselves said they know they're actually leaving money on the table by not offering it. They spun it as though right now there's too much risk, they'll give up the known money from the cable/satellite deals, but I'm guessing them being part of the Time Warner conglomerate has a bigger impact, and that's why I think we'll see the cable/satellite deals continue.
