...too bad I'm only going to be paid for half of it. There was a company wide shutdown, and they're going to use our vacation time. I only get two weeks/year and I used half of it on the end of last year because they asked me to.

Yeah... that stinks. I thought you built up vacation time so you could take it when YOU wanted to.
 
Well, to leave out some of the details:
Someone higher up seriously f'ed up some figures and the income figures for 2001 and 2002 are being rewritten, some creditors said they want to be paid, and since we don't have cash we thought we had, we're screwed for the mean time. The CFO resigned before all of this was found out, and the CEO resigned after.
