So my gf and I are both into photography, and we got to talking about photography (was one of the things that we talked about and we "connected" on at first to boot). We get into the gear she has, and come to find out she has a Canon 5D. She also has yet to let anybody else shoot it, but already asked me to take pictures with it of her and her puppy. Can't wait.

Any advice on shooting the 5D as far as settings and such?

Try 'New Standard' picture style. I find it to be the best Picture styles out of so many out there, epecially when shooting portraits in scenary.

Yeah no kidding. I am scared as h*ll about that.

She does have insurance on it (actual cash value not depriciated cost), but still it just scares me to have something worth $3k in my hand that's not mine lol.
