I love construction workers.
A local road is being repaved at night. So coming home from the gym, there's only 1 lane, and a bunch of cones blocking the other lane, letting us know that that lane is being worked on. So after a while, there are no more cones blocking that lane. Also a construction worker is there directing people to use the other lane. Ok, so people started changing lanes. Stupidly, I followed.
Once I got in the lane I knew something was wrong. Rocks started flying everywhere and I knew that I was driving on wet tar.
Now my tires, the bottom of my car, and some paint have tar on them. What can I do to get it off? I'm more concerned about the tires.... stupid a** construction worker

WD40 got the tar off my dad's van after I accidentally did the same thing

EDIT: I didnt try it on the tires, for obvious reasons. I just used it on the painted surfaces

Drive around the block? You don't get tar off your tires, just get some tar remover and clean it off the paint.

In addition to that, for the rest of the car, find a self-serv carwash that had a "bug/slime remover" selection on the dial. Spray only the affected areas. Then, use the "foaming brush" to scrub it off.

If that doesn't work, try buffing it off with car wax

I work with the local city crew tarring streets/crack sealing. Paint thinner, kerosene, or anything like it will take it right off.

I can't recall where I read that mayonniase will desolve tar. I remember it because tar got into the mud guard of my car and I couldn't get it off but I didn't try the mayonniase trice coz I didn't know about at that time. Can any confirm this?
