So on July 21 I get to have my sinuses cleaned out, my septum reshaped, my tonsils and adnoids removed, and the extra skin and uvula removed from my throat.

Nothing but milkshakes and smoothies for me.

I am also currently using a cpap machine at night for severe sleep apnia.

Getting old really sucks.

Sorry to hear that Ulfwald, but look on the bright side, I'm sure you've been having a lot of pain and aggravation for a long time and now you're about to get rid of all that. Well, after al little more pain and aggravation that is. Besides, if you ever thought about going on a diet here's your chance. Nothing but protein shakes for you. Hope everything goes well and the recovery is quick!

My wife has sleep apnia, but can't stand the CPAP. Mind if I ask how old you are?

Good luck with the surgery.

My friend had to get that when he was 16 (by "that" I mean most of the procedures you listed). He said it wasn't all that bad, except that any little thing would happen, and BAM! nosebleed.

I am 37. And i do expect to loose some weight on this. The cpap is not that bad, I use the comfort gel mask and mine has a ramp up feature. It allows me to build up o the right pressure slowly. I am hoping that after I have the surgery I will not have to use the machine anymore.

I had a second sinus surgery and tonsillectomy on March 15th. The tonsillectomy was hell. UGH! It takes about two weeks for the pain to go away. I wish you well.

I should probably get some surgery myself as I have a Haller Cell in my sinuses that is preventing my sinuses from draining completely.
