Oh Goody, 2GB Corsair Ram For Only $699

If money is no object then... get it! It's prolly a decent overclocker 😀
For the amount of heat RAM produces, a fan on the sinks would just make things louder, idk why they did that.
Get a pelteir cooling system for that $$$!

As mentioned before. Why are these RAM manufacturers putting these prices out of sight.

Well, they only need to get a few to buy these RAM. 2GB for $699. Give me a break!!!

With prices like that we will see the PC industry die very quickly.
I would NEVER pay that kind of $$ for ram EVER, what the HELL is corsair thinking, that enthusiests have bottomless pockets?

Man, you can get 2GB of ram or a PS3 with a game. Hmmm, this starts to make the PS3 look like a great deal. 🙁

But seriously, let just quit with the stupid crap. A fan for the ram? Does the ram really get that hot? It also has a monster heatsink on it. If you have good air flow in your case, I don't see why you would need that junk. It looks to me just an excuse to drive the price up.

I'll buy it only if they have a $100 MIR for it that they have no intention of honoring. A that price it's a bargain.

Now all you need to add is the quad-core CPU and three 8800GTX's in SLI to waste more money than ever before!

OMG yes! 😀

That would be an amazing deal then.

BTW, i am quite happy with my D9s @ their lowly DDR2-1063 5-5-5-5 for about half that price...

actually, back in the early to mid-late 90s, RAM prices were just as expensive. I remember getting EDO or SDRAM 32mb (or was it 64mb) sticks for $200.....

And when RDRAM came out, it was like what, $400-500 for a 128mb stick?

When RDRAM came out, it was $1000 for a 128MB PC800 stick. :Q

And when combined with a PII/III and intel 820 chipset, it was actually SLOWER than the great BX chipsets with PC100...no wonder RDRAM died a horrible, slow death.
