The day is dragging on and on... I'm at work, only I have no work to do... I'm a govt contractor, and we're waiting on beuracracy to have work to do. I'm still getting paid, but all I do is sit in a windowless room in the bowels of this godforsaken rat farm refreshing ATOT.

BEERGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

Is it just me, or do most people spend very few hours of the day doing actual work?... And seeing this wouldn't it just make more sense to only work a few hours a day?... And adjust payrates accordingly?..

On any given Monday, I do about 1-2 hours of work...

Today I have done about 10-20 minutes of real work...

I did about 10 minutes of actual work today... that was tossing fiber cable into plastic bins...

Other than that I've done NOTHING... and I would rather be busy...

This doing nothing all day thing is KILLLIIING ME...

LMAO. I see I am in great company today. I have done less than fifteen minutes of work and that was including giving somebody an optical mouse.
However, unlike you all I have sat in my office for a week straight with the air conditioning broken at my end of the building. Six days with no air in July in MS. Oh boy. Thankfully the cheap bastards are finally installing a new unit at this moment.
 
i have no work to do also. so i started surfing the net...and ended up buying a set of cross-drilled/slotted rotors for my car + brake pads
 
I'm just a male secretary/errand runner for this damn IT office..... and I'm in the same situation, so sit tight and enjoy the road to insanity with me 🙂
 
I think I might have done 1-2 hours of actual work today and it was a busy day

so I know the feeling all too well
 
I periodically do actual work throughout the day!!!😀
I make sure to spread it out though, dont want to be done by 8am.

Today= 2 E size maps and a HUGE set of spreadsheets created :thumbsup:

I've actually done some work today. A lot in fact. I have a job where i sit and do nothing quite a bit as well. I got so tired of it I put in my two weeks on Friday and start a new, more demanding, job on the 26th. (the pay raise helped too) 😉

🙂 Yes, a peril of boredom at work is buying things you probably shouldn't like at the numerous hot deal sites.

My neurotic 72yr old Italian father (also my boss) is calling me six times an hour. For no good reason, other than he is a 72yr old Italian man and a total SKUTCH!

His 73yr old sister, has had me on the phone for over three hours last night and this morning for help setting up her DVD player into her 15yr old television.

The accountant called to tell me that my b/f's company is getting auditted by the Department of labor.

I work from home and the house has been under MAJOR renovations for a very long time. Everything is shoved into boxes while I wait for the office to be ready, and I have no fvcking idea where to find stuff.

I have a cat that has been puking all day.

And to top it all of, I am totally PMS's which pretty much trumps any bad day that any man could ever have!

There's only one thing worse than a monday with PMS.... thats dealing with a girlfriend with PMS on a monday... infinite patience dealing with the girl's amazing leaping hormonesl... whooooooo
