I didn't have internet for a week last year. I just used my mobile hotspot from my phone via usb for my main pc and used windows internet connection sharing to give my router access to the connection so other devices in the house could use it. It was actually faster than my regular internet connection, but I used something like 30 gb of data that week. That was an expensive phone bill.
"I stream all my porn! Why would you ever store anything local? What's wrong with you?!"

Who's laughing (from a dark basement) now??? :awe:

Dear Diary,

Day six without internet. I am beginning to lose appetite; colors fade, sounds no longer alert me. I feel my life slipping away.

Have tried tethering, quaked on 110ms on cingular; no 4G or even 3G near my house - Oh God, why does thou mock me!

The end is near. How long can mobile gaming carry me on?
My only hope is InflationRPG. Android, my life is in Your hands.

Dear Diary,

Day .. ten? without internet.
3 more days like this... who knew a human could bear so much suffering.
In the midst of my throes of agony, i managed to beat Minecraft on Hardcore, legit; FTL didn't last long, either.
The evil warlords of Three soon discovered my tethering and banhammered me from the "unlimited data" account on my Note. Foolish me for confusing "unlimited data" with "unlimited data".
The pain is stronk. I actually look forward to going to work. Oh god please end this.

Still lost at sea,

DigDog

Don't you love it how marketing and advertising can say things like "Unlimited everything!!* Numerous limitations apply."

there wasn't even any "limitations apply" disclaimer anywhere in (human) sight ...
Maybe they don't need to.

I've seen some packages where they'll make a claim and put an asterisk after it. Ok, fine. Lie and then qualify it.
However, that is the only asterisk anywhere on the package.
I guess it's just turned into a general symbol: "FYI: Management or Marketing wanted to lie on the packaging because it sounded good."

Dear Diary,

is that a light i see, in the distance?

Alas yes, it is, i am saved, saved!!

Today, a proud Virgin Media bravely installed by new broadband, armed but with a drill, router and cable. Oh the bravery!!

And now, finally back on the shores of decency, shaved, cleaned and connected, i wait to return to my place in society: ATOT.

my fios was out last weekend from friday to sunday. i had no tv or internet. it was rough. but i did watch quite a bit of movies and i finished the order on ps4.

Was same when I moved into my house. Well I did technically have internet, but the cat6 cabling I had ordered had not arrived yet so I could not run the jacks to my office and figured I'd just wait till then. The lack of internet was not as bad as the lack of network though. I could not even access my local servers. I had ended up just temporarily using wifi. I can't recall why I had not done that from the get go, think my parents needed the wifi router and I had just brought over my non wifi one. I had ended up just buying one if I recall.

I had lot of misc work to do around the house when I first moved in anyway so it was not like I was sitting there doing nothing and being bored out of my skull.
