Oh, god I love blue cheese.

And variations on the theme. Had a roquefort and a stilton tonight, just a little taste of both... mmmmmmm.

When that tangy blue vein hits your tongue and you taste the salty cream, there's nothing quite like it. Get some thin slices of blue cheese, a garlic and olive oil spread, some prosciutto, and some foccaccia bread...

You know, when I first thought about making this post, I didn't realize how dirty it would sound. Ah, well, that's the burden I bear to spread the word for blue cheese. 🙂

Bleu cheese is great, I had several varieties paired with appropriate wine a while back and it was very good.
It's great on a nice ribeye too, and on salad, with fruit, and with all sorts of things...mmm I'm getting hungry.

Yeah, missing the appropriate wine pairings, but I don't usually mind when I'm just snacking by myself. When I have friends over, will worry more about that.

Now I want to cut up a green apple and put little slices of the roquefort on top, then have some viognier with it... don't know if that pairs well but that sounds really good, heh.

Appropriate wine pairing for stilton is port, you tweed. Go get the hardys or one of the other four ports you have sitting on the table in the corner!

Hehe, this made me laugh out loud. Well, more of a giggle. In any case.

Will try the stilton tomorrow night with a hardy's/Costco brand 10YR blend. Srsly, that was an awesome recommendation.
