just been playing CnC3 on my 360

just spent 3 hours doing that gay mission where you start with a crippled base and not enough power to power all your defenses.

finally got it going my way, and just completed the mission....victory.

then my xbox decides....it cant read the disc and dumps me in the home screen. WTF is up with that. its a brand new ****** game, no scratches or dust, and it cant read it? what a joke.

im about to brick this thing purposefully....with a hammer. POS.

it keeps doing this, its super annoying. where can i get a new Disc drive for this thing?
 
im really annoyed now, because it spat its dummy out before it could auto save. i got to do the whole thing again...and tbh i just dont want to. thats almost enough for me to trade the damn game in and never play it again. think ill leave it for a week before i come back to it.
 
That mission is hard as hell...I stopped playing the game b/c of that mission.

btw, i didn't know cnc3 came out for xbox360. does itl ook as good as pC?
 
oh damns, do you have to redo the mission? Id say make use of the hardware warranty... sounds like somethings messed up.

its not bad, not as sharp as the PC version, they use some Depth of field to blur out stuff around the edge of the screen and theres a unit cap.

i do have it stretched over a 20inch Dell 2005fpw though so it looks a little less defined than it normally would.

controls arent half bad either. reall nice to use. however theyre just not fast or precise enough to quickly select individual units and structers, especially when your in a hurry...you find your self picking your unit, then when you move to where you want it to go sometimes it'll snap to a near by unit and when you press a (because your tying to be quick) it picks that unit instead... it gets really frustrating that "snap to unit" feature...really annoying

it does suffer some severe slow down too.

not sure i can, no proof of purchase receipt since its a 2nd hand unit of ebay.

the disc drives already scratched discs in the past, and they wouldnt fix it because i got it off ebay. so instead of arguing with them i opened it up myself and added pads to the top lid of the dvd drive to stop the discs from getting scratched.

whether thats the root of the problem, i dont know... i used pretty decent solid foam/rubber pads. either way, i think i need a new drive.... i can just get any 360 specific drive off ebay and it'll work right? i know they got some wierd code thing to lock them to the console thouhg
 
ahhh the infamous Croatia mission. It wasn't so much the difficulty but the sudden jump in it that made the mission extremely frustrating.

Sorry about the Xbox though. Anyway once you get the hang of it that mission shouldn't be too hard.
