Why do you still call it Persia, seriously?
Persia is geographically Iran today. Persian culture, however, has been heavily supressed for a very long time. The average Persian (at least the Americanized subset I know) has a high level of cultural pride and tend to maintain at least their cultural independence from the bulk of the Muslim world. Persians are a cultural subset of Iranians as a whole.
My late father-in-law was a first-gen Persian immigrant. My wife, daughter and I had kobideh and tadiq to celebrate last night
Edit: late Happy Nowruz!
