Oh come on!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME EXACTLY HOW TO REMOVE THIS SUPER ORB!!!!

Try using an old Jedi mind trick. Seriously, didn't you put it on? Just carefully take it off.

Assuming it uses the same mounting hardware as the other orbs, you twist it counter clockwise to release the tension on the clips, then just lift it off...

Push on the top of the clip with your two thumbs and position the rest of your hand around the Sorb for a guide. This is a little upside down. The easiest way to do this is with the comp. on the floor and stand over it. Reach down to the floor and then your hands are inverted the proper way. Don't push or pull on the Sorb body. Apply the pressure to the clip handle straight down. Once you are at the limit of how much you want to press down (just enough), then change your angle of force a little to push the top of the handle towards the body of the ORB. The handle on the clip pivots around the 90degree bend which forms the clip/lug attachment point. So what you are doing is kind of counter intuitive. you need to push the clip TOWARDS the Sorb the to get the Sorb AWAY from the chip. TRY to do this with even smooth movements, once the clip is clear release gradually. Or else the Orb may go scooting across the surface of your chip. That is the reason you have your hands wrapped around the sink. So you can control it once it's free and guide the force so you don't jam your thumbs.

From personal (yet limited) experience. When you're installing your other heatsink, IF you're gonna use a screwdriver to push down the clip DO IT CAREFULLY. I almost busted up my RAM slots when the screwdriver slipped off the clip. That was dumb to say the least. Stupid Coolermaster HSF with that little hook thing that digs into your thumb when you try to push the clip down. 😉

i agree with phillyc. It may seem like the stupiest thing to do, but when your thumbs are all red and sore from trying to get that thing on... you'll try just about anything 😉

I'm with Adul.
Dremel it.

Orbs aren't worth the metal they were shaped out of anyways.

Mount it on your monitor so it blows in your face. Keep you a little cooler on those hot summer days.
