I'm at a near loss for words. I hope that some other people can read this and understand why. Its just wrong for so many reasons 7th century guy as a cyberspace saint
Why is it wrong, it sounds so damn dumb! Only in THIS CENTURY could the Vatican even start to possibly admit that "maybe" the earth is not the center of the universe and now they have a saint of cyberspace...a guy from the 7th century no doubt! Gah!
What's wrong with archeology? Afaik there's no reason why the church would anything against archeology since most of it seems to confirm biblical history, but hey you believe anything you want.
archeology also confirms a few of the things the church doesn't like - evolution, the fact that the earth may be more than 5000 years old, and possibly that man descended from primates, not god.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in evolution and an old earth. However, being that archeology is the study of human remains and artifacts, then no it doesn't really have anything to do with evolution(Young earth theory maybe). Furthermore, the Vatican doesn't believe that man descended from God.
If the church doesn't believe man comes from god, who do they think made man? You have to excuse me if I sound confused, I've never agreed with the church or spent time to listen to their conflicting stories.
