Oh boy, Chappelle as Rick James...The Movie

I'm always skeptical of movies based on sketch comedy (think of all the awful SNL-based movies), but the Rick James bit was pretty long (it was an entire episode), and one of the funniest things I have ever seen. We shall see . . .

It doesn't seem as if it's really based of the sketch, more that the sketch made him the perfect choice for the biography.

Yeah, but starring DC it will have to be played for comedy. I imagine this was the only reason anyone was willing to put up funding. God knows I HOPE it's a comedy!
 
and i thought that i was going to have no more movies to look forward to any time soon... then a diety up above parts the clouds and lets the sunshine stream in!

yea, but some people dont go through that trouble, and just try doing it. i know this, because i tried, and it sounded terrible! it sounded more like somebody crushed my larynx.
