yes it will work with normal monitors. That is a given unless otherwise noted.

Hahahaha it's OEM guy, how many OEMs use anything other than standard 15pin DSub monitors.

I can see where your concern is from OEM stuff usually comes pretty unbundled, but it'll have that adapter.
