ogr- use win32 beta for K6-3?

I switched a P3 566 over to the beta version 464g (win) to run ogr...losing a work unit that was 30% complete in the process. Warning-- the beta will not continue to process a partially completed work unit that was begun using 463.

I am hesitating converting to the beta for the 3 K6-2 and K6-3 machines I have running ogr, since I have heard that it is somewhat slower than version 463 on these processors. Does anyone have any updated information on how version 464g performs with these AMD chips?

You bet Alpha, the 464g Beta is 5-8% slower on the K6 and K6-2 (YMMV) but was a full 10% faster or better on P2,P3, and Celerons. Athlon/Durons were about a wash as I recall.

I've kept my K6s on the good old 463b client, and moved the Intels to the 464g Beta.
