OGR-25 stats for 25 Nov 00 and Milestone Makers

Looks like Slashdot took 1st place again today with 166.978 Tnodes. Their output was a lot less than it was yesterday, but still good enough to keep us in 2nd place where we sit with 146.599 Tnodes on the day. Of course this is a Saturday, and we don't have the benifit of some office herds. It is encouraging that we were able to improve our numbers from yesterday, but we are still a long ways from where we should be.

For the rest of the field, we find The Amiga RC5 Team Effort in 3rd place with 72.385 Tnodes. The Wonder Monkeys ended up in 7th place with 52.785 Tnodes. The DPC ended up way down there in 12th place with 34.197 Tnodes on the day.

Ruler Counter of the Day goes to giantnt4vizmechthunderstorm with 17.261 Tnodes for the day.

Milestone Makers for today

Eug has passed the 125 Tnode mark!!!!

mike@anandtech.com has passed the 25 Tnode mark!!!!

Congrats to all of the Milestone Makers for the day!!!!!

Folks, we need to get things in gear here! If we don't get some numbers on the board soon, we are going to be at the end of the game before we know it. Some people would say that "It's all about the 4th Quarter", but I for one really don't want to wait until the last minute to find out it's too late. My mother used to say to me that "If you miss the train by 2 minutes, well you still missed the train now didn't you?" Let's not find ourselves standing at the station with a stupid look on our faces when /. made it there on time. We need to be dominating every day, and not just once in a while peaks. OGR is a really close race with not a whole lot of people working on it. Yesterday, we had a whole whopping 86 contribute. On the books, we have 533 members and the vast majority of those are "incorrect" ini files. In the past week, we have had many folks join and/or switch resources over to help us out and it is much appreciated, but it is still not enough. If we could each go out there and find just one more machine each, think of the work that could be done!!! That is the goal for the coming week everyone.....find 1 machine to help with OGR.

I have updated my tracking graphs and you can check them out here.

Take care,

-Mike

I am in the middle of changing my clients over to use my personal proxy, and changing my personal proxy to update to proxy.teamanandtech.com so that my stats will show up correctly.. Yesterday I submitted 10,000 or so, but they won't show up in the local stats .. Soon everything will be up and running correctly.

To help spark the interest in OGR< I have put up a stats version for OGR that gives you REAL TIME info for the day. No longer do you have to wait 30 minutes to see your production. Follow the link in my sig if you want to take a look.

There is another problem. The "Greate Stats Outage of 2000" affected OGR as well as RC5. Many of the people mentioned in this post contribute to OGR as well as RC5, Rylon for example. His total is 200,005 GNodes yet only 121,152 GNodes count toward TA. Everyone needs to see if all of their GNodes are counting toward TA. If not you need to rejoin by clicking on the "I want to join this team" on the bottom of this page.

LOL! Who is "Beerpalace Canada" anyway?

I think that we have a little activity from Buzzman, Bassman and Ducky to look forward to as well.

By the looks of things at Mika's we should have a pretty decent Sunday to look forward to.
