Does anyone know of a way to go from .ogg to cd audio in one step?
I am totally floored by how good the Ogg Vorbis codec is. OggdropXPd at the default setting (~128kbps) makes .ogg files that blow away mp3s encoded at higher bitrates. I tell you, I feel like it is finally worth it to rip my cds!
One small issue I have is that Nero does not support .ogg direct to cd audio as it does with mp3. I miss this functionality, being able to just drag and drop ogg files to make music cds would be very nice. I tried adding various Ogg Vorbis .dll files to Nero's plugins dirctory, but had no luck.
Now, I know I can use CDex to convert from .whatever to .wav and then burn using Nero, but I would just like to do it in one step, with a nice interface like Nero's.
side note: I just don't understand why Nero doesn't include "support" for .ogg conversion. There are NO licensing fees with Ogg Vorbis, and it sounds SO GOOD!
