I am going to be using my laptop as an unattended data entry point so that people coming and going can enter 3 things, their names, address, and phone number. And since the location doesn't have WiFi I can't use any online browser forms either.
I also need the laptop to be locked down so that people can't do other things on it. I'll have it locked of course.
Is there any software that provides both, or a combination of software that does one or the other? I pretty much need it to be free or even shareware, as there's an estimated 200 people going to be entering their info.
I've thought about coding a form in HTML and saving the data to a text file (using a guest account in WIndows 8 where nothing else can be done) but my sparse HTML/Javascript skills prevent me from doing so (I coded pretty much everything, text boxes, text, but I don't know how to send that info to a file).
