I was but 2 things stopped me ...

1. Exposing the battery pack is a must, didn't wanna cut any parts of the case.
2. The millisecond delay of the wireless could be CRUCIAL in a fighting game, as timing is everything (and joystick is mainly for fighters)
 
A couple of sources are stating the Outfit Demo will be out this evening for those that may not be aware, we will see. Anyhow, I don't believe at this point we will see the GRAW demo until after the full release, not sure why, great reviews so far is what I'm reading. No matter, I'll be picking up my pre-order next week and the outfit demo will provide some game play till then.

Update: THQ says the demo is ready to go, but...
 
I for one enjoyed reading about Rockstar's table tennis game. For all the gamers on this board who keep screaming about innovation in games, no one really seems happy about it. I'm all for a new type of game to come along to try out, whether I think I'll like it or not. It's especially better when EA's not at the helm to make a Table Tennis 2007, TT2008, etc. etc.
 
I hear by degree that the VGA cables sucked w/ paired with a HDTV LCD.

If you have no other choice, then you will have to do, but if you can run component then it looks alot better. As this point they are a waste of money.

This is funny, because I had the exact opposite experience. Composite looked absolutely terrible, but VGA looked great. This might be because my screen is 16:10, not 16:9, though.

This is funny, because I had the exact opposite experience. Composite looked absolutely terrible, but VGA looked great. This might be because my screen is 16:10, not 16:9, though.

Was checking out some new gamer pictures to update mine from one of the default icons, and ran across a free Rare theme (I think it was under Perfect Dark, but the them doesn't show anything from it). I liked it so much, it's now my new theme. Figured I'd give a heads-up if anyone else hadn't seen it yet. It's a nice sliver/orange/slight green theme, looks very nice :thumbsup:.

I mis-spoke myself - I did indeed mean component. (Although composite does indeed also look like trash.)

I'm just trying to caution against making blanket statements, because they're just not true...

thats because I'm talking about HDTV LCD and not LCD monitors.

16:10 LCD monitors component will look like ass, I know this cause it did on my 2405.


But I'm totally talking about HDTV LCD as noted in my OP.

This might come as a surprise, but my HDTV LCD (complete with integrated tuner - it's a TV!) is 16:10.

More to the point, the whole premise makes no sense, since VGA is higher-bandwidth than component. What might have happened is that you accidentally tried running your 360 at 1280x768 on your 1080i (1366x768) or 720p (1280x720) HDTV when you switched in the VGA cable. The 360 actually seems to remember what the last resolution you used with a particular cable is, or it did for me, anyways.

"Component is better than VGA" just seems like it shouldn't ever be true.

Yah we saw that thing. However, that is only for the memory unit. We were going to do something like that and sell it but it didn't happen, not to mention, the Datel one is only like $15 I believe.

If you check out 360Sata you will see that they have a product that will allow you to plug your 360 HDD into an SATA connection on your PC. You can either hook it up SATA or get an SATA -> USB2 adapter and plug your HDD into your PC with USB even.

The 360sata guys are putting the 360gamesaves.com on their actual hardware, and with their v2 of the hardware, we are probably going to partner up with them. Also, apparently the Datel software is garbage compared to Xplorer360. But we'll see 🙂
 
Good to hear.. I saw this today and was like that sucks for him.. but if your software is better and you still got other things going thats great.
 
The Outfit demo is up. Has some multiplayer (live 8 player I believe and 1v1) aspects as well from what I've read, still dl'ing.
