Basically, post all your X1900 XT or XTX Overlclocked speeds in here. Please state whether you are using stock cooling, water cooling or any other aftermarket cooling. Feel free to also post any tips and tricks on OC'ing these cards and any experiences you've had with it!

I personally would like to compare how well the XT's OC in comparison to the XTX.

-MVDDQ to 1.996v
-VDDCI to 1.5v

In addition, I use the ATi OC utility to set the clock speed. Right now my memory OC is about 20-30 mhz limited because of the lack of ramsinks (they're coming).

Erm, I cant read that very well, but does that say 796mhz clock!!!
Wholy moley!

What kind of 3dMark scores you getting from that beast?!

Didnt you aslo OC the regular XT version?
How well did that perform?

And have you ever OC'd on standard air alone?
Thanks for your input by the way!

Your OC of the card is madness!

It crashes out in 3dmark05 during the 3rd test so that max OC isn't quite stable yet :( I'm working on it though. The highest I can get 3dmark05 stable at is 780/840 for now but oddly enough, my 3dmark05 score doesn't go up much. I'm guessing I'm severely CPU limited but I'll know more when I get my X2 4400+. I never OC'd the card on air but if you visit the xtremesystems.org forums, there are plenty of XT and XTX owners that have OC'd quite far using air cooling.

Wow, nice.
I dont think 3dMark05 is very CPU limited though, not as much as 3dMark06 anyway.
What score did you get for curiosity's sake?

Also, do you know if the OC limit of the XTX's is much more then the XT's?
If so, by how much?

nib, check out this pic, I just took it: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5078/x1900xtxoc9qp.jpg

I got 10,600 3dmark05 so it was a fairly low score. I can't seem to crack 11k even at high speeds, thats why I'm thinking I'm CPU limited. From what I've seen, there are XT's out there that clock just as good as my XTX if not better. However there are also some out there that can reach 730 mhz or around there on air but not any higher. Guess it varies with the XT's.

Seriously, your OC'ing is madness.
Kudos to you though!

But just be careful, one of these days that card is going to go and commit suicide on you.
I may actually just buy the X1900 XT instead of the XTX actually, I didnt realise the XT could easily OC to XTX levels even on air. I though they'd struggle with that extra 50mhz memory OC. But doesnt seem to be the case.

Cant wait to see what other results you come up with!

Heh thanks. Yeah I was getting a little edgy when I pushed the voltage up and cranked up the core. :) But the temps didn't skyrocket so it's ok for now. Definitely go for the X1900XT if you want to save some cash. Its almost guranteed that you will reach XTX speeds or greater on air with it.

My XTX hit 722/872 at 1.42V on the gpu and 1.982V on the mem. That was using the stock heatsink. I've since learned that stock voltage on the core is 1.45V so I know it had more room. I could run the FEAR benchmark and 3DMark05 at those speeds.

My XT I only messed with for about 10 minutes. It hit 710/872 with the same volts as the XTX and the stock cooler. I'll post more results after I throw on my waterblock and ramsinks.

Where'd you read the core is at 1.45v? I heard 1.3v for the core.

Umm, this may be a dumb question, but why is the 2D speed display mode checked? From my experience ATI doesn't use differeing 2D/3D clocks, but I am just curious...

ati2evxx.exe or whatever the hell its called is disabled. When disabled then there isn't any difference between 2D/3D clocks.

You mean 1.42 on th vgpu? ATI tool detects vgpu @ defaults 1.175v if I'm not mistaken and only the additional VDCCI is 1.49v.

I'm interested since my x1900xt with stock voltage on core/mem and stock cooler reaches 681/756. I want to see if I up the core /mem voltage a bit how can I reach with stock cooler

I'm also a little worried for my low mem o/c, since I see many ppl getting much higher using the same mem voltage. Should I get some ramsinks what do you suggest ppl?

I think my CPU is bottlenecking me as well, I saw virtually no difference going from XTX speeds to 690/790 on my XT. I've flashed to the XTX BIOS but I didn't really see any tangible benefit from doing this. Pushing the mem any higher gives me artifacts but I don't trust the stock cooler at this point to up the voltage past stock. For now this suits me just fine.

Edit - It beats the pants off my X800XL and that's what I wanted but I won't be upgrading my CPU until the new socket comes out.

I read that from the article that Pete linked to in another thread. I wish I could find a version of Rivatuner that worked so I could verify that.

I knew I was CPU limited. :D

WOAH man! Congrats on a phenomenal score!
I hope I can get something similar to that. I'm planning a 2.65ghz OC on my Opteron 170 and hopefully a marginal OC on my X1900 XT, enough to better an XTX anyway.

But 12,123.

Man thats insane for a single GPU. Thats almost as high as the rumoured G71 score.

Thanks and let us know when you get your XT nib. Begger - the X2 is OC'd to 2.64 GHz right now using 1.42v so I'm guessing I got a good core. Gonna leave it at this speed for now since it's plenty fast.

Im going to order mine the moment the RD580 comes out.
Which should be about 1-2 weeks.
I would have bought it now, but I cnat be bothered to buy the RD580 later and have to take everything apart and back together again.

I want to go Crossfire so need one of the Crossfire chipset mobo's, and I've heard some disconcerting things about the RD480, namely the poor USB performance.
I have 2 300GB External USB2.0 HDD's, would that affect me?

Sorry i don't have a compare link yet. With the XTX at 722/872 and my 165@2.8GHz I scored ~12,500.
