Or you could just play a game that doesn't have a queue. And that'd be EVERY GAME EVER FREAKIN MADE. I don't know why people put up with that crap.

Yeah, I'm not a WoW player either, so I don't know the details of it all, but if that is the case then it's definitely bullsh!t. It's a pay to play game, you pay so sh!t like that doesn't happen... I could understand a queue if the game were free, but for $15 a month you'd better have a damn server open for me whenever the hell I feel like playing.

There are plenty of servers open, but people tend to crowd themselves on to some, making queue times because the servers would crash if everyone got on at the same time (which they did before queues were implemented). I'm talking servers with like 25k+ people.

I was queued for the first time yesterday on my server, Akama, yet the population was listed as "new". Go figure.

Like many others, I believe the queue numbers and wait time are arbitrary.

If there must be a queue, the level 60s who sit in town all day should be booted for people who actually want to play the game.

queue'd again... #700.. how nice. :)

I joined my realm because friends asked me to start WoW... so I wasn't going to jump into a new realm and learn by myself.

They are allowing server transfers... I think all of us would move, but our realm is not on the list of servers allowed to do so. :(

it was listed as new because it was a new server most likely. since it was new, people tend to flock to the new ones to start fresh. so it was probably high pop.

Yeah, I just quit WoW. The queues are just ludicrious. I didn't see why I was paying 15/month for 30+ minute waits to play. So until Blizzard gets their act together, they've lost at least one customer.

Thank you. I really thought it out to make sure it had the biggest impact. A little education goes a long way, and the people need to know. WoW is crap, Blizzard is crap, and they are the only company that would impose queues on their customers.

700+ queue??? Wholley Crapper! After 6 months of playing, I just experienced my first queues over this past weekend, but it was under 100 each time. Must be a post xmas/new user issue, hopefully it'll calm down soon.

Malak seemingly feels the need to crap every WoW thread started here.

*shrug* To each their own, I suppose.

I just sit and laugh at the people that said Blizzard > SOE. Then I cry when I see I'm #417 in the queue with 37 mins remaining... :(

I think you people should stand up to this or it'll end up being in every game. want to play halflife 3 on steam, ohw but you got to wait a few mins on the auth server because it's busy. why not view some commercials in the meantime. buisnesses are trying to see how far they can push without consumers pushing back. if you dont push back now they'll push you more. you pay $15/month if we're talking about servers with 25K ppls onnit that's $ 375000 every month. now dont tell me that with that money they couldnt buy some server upgrades.

That already happens with Steam. I've had it tell me it was too busy to let me play my game, it happens to a lot of people. I don't stand for it, I uninstalled the game. It also took an hour just to install because of steam. Steam is the only thing that keeps Valve higher than Blizzard on my blacklist.

I was on a server in the first week of release that had a 1900 queue and a several hour wait. I switched servers and just 2 weeks ago started getting queues after a year of play.

^ I heard about the queues on initial release. Maybe Blizzard is trying to ride it out like they did then with the new influx. Perhaps in some way they think committing $ to even more new servers that will just die down isn't worth it for them. Just speculation. But why are they limiting server moves ? :|

The other thought is that these queues are done on purpose (they seemed to have lowered the cap to create more wait) so that people will jump to the new servers instead. But umm... I've already got a char on this one that I've spent countless hours on... I ain't going to a new server unless my char comes with me... at least let us do it. :|

About taking a stand... what stand can we take other than just quitting the game altogether ? We do have so much committed to it (like all the hours spent building something up) so it's not a simple "F U" decision. We want fixes... we've spoken loudly on their forums... they simply haven't acknowledged anything... what more can we do really ?

For the record... EVE has the record for most people online in a single shard... at 22,020.

I don't see why you people argue about WoW's server population. Their [Blizzard] game ins't built to handle the mass quantity of players in the world. It was built to scale amount of shards with the userbase interest. However, It just so happens that the demand is high and the supply is short. They have done remakable jobs in getting new shards up compared to any other MMO in the world.

EVE set out to do something massive, like making a niche game and targeting their infrastructure to hold a LARGE fraction of their userbase at one time. WoW, Galaxies, EQ2, AO and the like are not built using that idea. Infact they use bog standard MMO mentality because they know they will get mass appeal. Such is life. Deal with your turn in line or stop paying it is as simple as that. Yes I have a lvl 60 WoW toon who has wait in line before. Cold Showers and shots of rum are good time killers during the wait.

Holy balls. I remember playing back when they were trying to hit five figures at once. I shudder to think how badly the core/noob systems are lagging now. :p They measuring ping in minutes in Yulai on weekends yet? :D

I've played this game since launch. What is this 'queue' of which you speak? :)

Seriously, I've never seen a queue. Then again I purposely chose my server at launch based on what servers I knew people were planning to flock to initially.

And just think... with all that time spent in queue you could probably be higher level on another server in a short period of time due to your increased knowledge and NO queue!
