Do people actually watch this sport?

I personally think it sucks.

Anyone actually like the whole March Madness thing?

Stop being a troll. Obviously people watch it since their are huge pools to get involved in, several threads on the topic, etc.

I'm not trolling... I am stating my opinion and asking if there are people here who actually like it.

I used to like it but it's nearly impossible now to follow a player and his team through college b/c all the good players leave to go the NBA so there is so much turnover in players now. I still participate in the March Madness brackets though, just for fun.

The two questions you posed have obvious answers. First of all, you asked "Do people actually watch this sport?" Hell that is a tough one to answer since numerous threads have been made on the topic as well as numerous commercials on a variety of channels. Your second question has yet another obvious answer. With the whole the March Madness beginning, more and more threads have been started on the subject as well as the increase in commercials on various television channels. Either you live under a rock or you are trolling. The "Yes, I love to watch 42387462 sorry teams play it out, with some team like Duke, always winning, by buying their players from high school." response proves you're trolling.

Yeah, I couldn't give a flying f&ck about college basketball. My roommate is actually all pumped up for it and taking 2 days off of work for it. I don't even know why he needs to take two days off of work for college b-ball, but whatever. I don't have any attraction to it.

since ncaa final four tickets are harder to get than the suberbowl i'd say people watch and enjoy it. kids in college actually play for something other than money.

It's all relative. Think of it as an investment into the future for those that didn't make it out of high school.

I think the only time I actually watch it is when the stakes are really high .. like the final four games.

Are you serious? Have you watched a college basketball game? Guys diving for lose balls, the intensity of the crowd, every possession is crucial. Unlike the NBA where everyone stands around and watch the star players take turns going one on one or sometimes they get crazy and involve two players with a pick and roll, the fans are asleep at most of the arenas, players crying about everything. About the only exciting thing in the NBA is the 4th quarter when they actually start trying. It's hilarious how many times an NBA team will get out to like 17-20 point lead and you just know the other team is going to come back in time for the 4th quarter and then the game is actually competitive. I honestly can't watch an entire NBA game. I went to a Wizards game last year that I paid $45 for the ticket and left at halftime it was so boring and Washington led the league in attendence last year!
