There are three games that the Bills are going to look at that cost them this season. The loss to the Raiders is one of them, but also the loss to the Texans and the Chiefs. All three extremely winnable games that the offense couldn't do much of anything in and would have vastly improved their abysmal AFC record that is the reason they can't win any tiebreakers.

And I haven't bragged at all about beating the Lions, I'm just pointing out that you're still sour about that loss since you can't help yourself. But sure, be confident when you play in an easy division and had the second easiest schedule in the entire league this year, as well as the second lowest strength of victory of all playoff teams. And I love the schedule/Division argument. The Lions don't make the schedules, we don't choose who to play. The only reason anyone brings the schedule up is because of how the Dolphins, Saints, Falcons, Panthers, and Vikings finshed the year. Before the season started, all those were playoff teams (with the exception of perhaps the Vikings), and better than the Lions. Everyone expected losses to the Pats and Cards. We can beat the bears, and we beat the Pack.

So we can retroactively rip the schedule, but I personally counted 4 of those games losses.

went to Redskins game yesterday. The stadium was probably 50% Philthy fans. Every time they scored, the stadium went nuts. Guess that's what happens when tickets are so cheap it entices people from the rival teams to buy them.

Philly is also the closest team to the Skins outside of the Ravens.

Toss in the rivalry and the 3 hour drive - what would you expect?

Eagles fans expected a rout and a chance to get into the playoffs.

Sure, other teams might have booed an injury or punched an 8 year old Jet's fan in the parking lot after a loss, but Philly does this every year. Hell, they ran McNabb out of town because he could only get them to the SB and not win it. They boo every time there is an injury. They do it every drive. He claims it wasn't intentional, but I think even Lions players knows that's just nonsense -- and quite honestly while I like Raiola as a player, he's the last vestiage of the Millen "Same ol' Lions" era, (arguably, they still are the same ol Lions) and probably needs to be cut or retired.

I think he caught a break with the Patriots game where he was fined for the headslap, and got away with a blatant knee-dive at the end of that game, but I think the NFL would have to suspend him for a game.

Ironically, Suh was suspended for the 2011 Wildcard game for stomping on the Packer's player arm (which proved costly), this is really history repeating itself

I am not looking forward to this weeks game, because i am worried that suh or someone else will take another cheap shot and injure rodgers or other crucial part of the team and ruin the playoff run. I have seem way to many cheapshots/dirty play from the lions over the years. There is a difference from playing physical like the seahawks where they hit you hard but generally clean(except for all the pass interference/holding they still get away with), the lions are just cheap like with the helmet to helmet shot on clausen yesterday on the last drive.

Seattle kinda got out early on that. Only paid him 8 mil. The Raiders paid him another 6.5 mil, and he got beat out there too. Whats sad is I watch all the Raider games and I don't even remember who beat him out! I think it was Pryor, and I don't know if he is even in the league anymore. EDIT: It was Pryor, who was traded to Seattle for a 7th round pick, and he was released from their practice squad in August.

Do you really believe my opinion of the Eagles and their fans is so misguided? Is it undeserved? Eagles fans are quick to bring up the one time another team's fanbase acted like morons; however, the Eagles have done it often enough to earn a reputation. And even if I wanted to be like "well, maybe that was just the way of the old fans. I'll give them another chance!" And, then, anyone who is injured during their fats paced offense gets booed as if they are cheating the Eagles somehow.

I pointed out one, and i will also point out suh agian because i saw a game a few weeks ago where he took a few shots at the Qb putting his forearm right into helmet. You can be blinded by your homerism all you want but it does not change the makeup of the team. It will take a few years to wash the stink Schwartz away.

Edit: in regards to the helmet to helmet thing, it's not rocket science. He lead with his helmet and launched into the QB. That is a flag every single time, it was a terrible "tackle" and your defense of it is quite weak.

It's been 2 seasons, right? That's -barely- enough time to turn a team over. This is a huge fault with owners in the NFL, imo. 2-3 years and new head coach. They get enough time to replace some coaches, get a few of "their" players in and boom, rug pulled out from under them.

I don't even think you can properly evaluate a HC until after year 3 unless they are a total bust.

This. Look at Dallas under Garrett for example. He has had some mediocre seasons up to this point. Had he simply be canned it wouldn't have made a lot of sense. If your team is bad enough for the previous HC to get fired, there is more than a coaching problem, there are personnel problems. Those don't fix themselves in a single offseason.

I can see how Seattle would have a style that would draw a lot of penalties, but what could they be doing to cause the refs to throw FEWER flags on their opponents? 😕

It could be more of a "let 'em play" mentality causing that. I think the entire "refs are out to get my team" mentality is bullshit.

I also think it is kind of funny that the proper enforcement of the illegal contact and defensive holding rules hasn't stopped Seattle from being the number 1 defense. Weren't those rules put in place to stop Seattle from mugging everyone? They certainly seem content to just stand near the receivers and defense passes now.

Nope, not 2 but 3 years.

2012 - 7-9 (no playoff)
2013 - 8-8 (no playoff)
Current - 8-7 => 9-7 at best (unless the sky is green, no playoff again (very small odd))

I have no ill feeling to him but I do not think he is the best coach with the talent the Fins have now. Two blow games at the last seconds (Green Bay and Detroit) this year. If Fins were able to close those two games, they would be in the playoff now. They also need a better offense line because the QB was sacked two times and was knocked down at least eight other times when they played the Vikings. Not going to last long in the NFL with that kind of beating.

Ross the owner is bringing him back for next year but I think unless the Fins can make the playoff, he would not get a 5th year.

He wasn't suspended for the wildcard game, it was the game after Thanksgiving (New Orleans i believe), heard Raiola was given a well deserved 1 game suspension.
