Knockout football now! Going to be some very tense/exciting matches and potentially 3 or 4 big teams could be going home

I agree. Portugal was playing much better than Spain. Could have been 3-0 up in the last few minutes. Nice saves by Casillas.

England only need a draw to be guaranteed of going through due to the complications of the scoring situation as we have conceded less goals than France while scoring the same amount. If Switzerland beat France and we draw then it will be Switzerland and England who go through.

Apparently the Croatians are going to try and target Rooney and get him sent off, luckily we've got Collina in charge and I'm sure Gerrard will look after young Wayne if anything does happen

If I was Croation I would do exactly the same thing that's Rooney's weak point and they'd be stupid not to take advantage of it. I can honestly see him being sent off at some point during the finals either tonight or later (if we make it through tonight).

Rooney is a good player, no doubt but he's such an arrogant prick at the age of 18, it's not even funny.

Absolutely, I'm sure we would try and take advantage of a similar situation if we could - I really hope he keeps his temper though and I'm glad there is going to be a good official on hand too. There's always the unimaginable prospect of Mickey Owen playing well and drawing all their defenders to him as well....

Ok, now this is weird.
The logic I used was that France beat England, so in case there is a tie situation, France should be placed above England regardless of the goal difference.
Is this not the case in Euro?
