I think "Atlantic Ocean" might end up being the best term for it.

So are you saying steadfastly it will not make it to Hurricane status?

he's saying it's currently not a hurricane therefore a thread entitled offical hurricane hanna thread would be incorrect.

anyways, this one could be serious. i predict this storm will hit land at some point in the future at some location on the planet earth.

Whereas I predict Tropical Storm Hannah will roam the globe keeping entirely to the oceans before petering out in 2 weeks.

what in the hell!!!! Apparently either deval patrick or george bush just activated the massachusetts national guard and am sending them down to New Orleans tommorow. I thought the news kept saying it wasn't that bad down there.

looks like the 8 am run of the models is converging on the NC/SC border. i got my rain jacket out and will provide pics and video from the beach :D assuming i don't evacuate and/or have to go to work.

Strong hurricanes do tend to stay strong, so Ike will probably bulldoze someone, somewhere. But it's also a week out from the US mainland, and I'm not sold on the idea that it's not going to recurve out to sea like more storms do.
