LOL what the heck is even the point of a back seat when there is zero space for your legs and feet? And I thought the back seat of my Camaro was bad! Wow.

Too bad a lot of people will just see.. OMG 200hp weaksauce. Although FT-86 is also much cheaper than the more powerful 350z, so no one is expecting it to be as powerful when they're shopping for the 86. It's nice to have the option of a good handling sexy sports car at that pricepoint.
Sports car is defined by the platform rather than the power. Just look at the miata ;).

No car has any business looking that sporty and aggressive and pretentious if it can't even dust an automatic Camry.

LOL! There's more rear leg room in a 911! I think my CR-Z has about the same rear leg room...the reason why the US spec car doesn't have a back seat! My only guess is that they're selling it as a 2+2 is for insurance purposes.

I believe that a 2 seater would, on average, be more expensive to insure than a 4 seater.

For once I have to agree with you. Sports cars should be faster than family sedans. Somehow they are getting left behind in the horsepower wars.

In other countries the CRZ has back seats?

I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers, a 2012 V6 mustang has a curb weight of 3750 lb and produces 305 hp (from ford's website here).
3750lb/305hp = 12.3 lb/hp.

That number is way off considering a GT500 weighs that much. From everything I saw, the V6 is around 3450lbs, a GT is 36000lbs and the GT500 is almost 3800lbs.

The back seat is so small so the ricers can rip it out and fit 2000 watts of techno-pumping power!

It may not come to the Toyota version but something like this is bound to see a turbo from Subaru sooner or later. They listen to their customers (see 2008 vs 2009 WRX). I just hope the economy doesn't kill this before they get the chance...

We will see. They have been pretty adamant this will be N/A only, and if you want turbo/more power you need to go the WRX or STi route.

200hp is pretty weak-sauce though...this will be slower than many family cars (as exdeath stated). Throw the 2.5T from Subaru in here and it would be awesome...

200 hp may be a life-saving measure. A cheap, RWD, 2700 lb car with the kind of torque available from Subaru's 2.5T would certainly end a few lives prematurely. Anyone else see the corvette drag-race post here the last few days?

Fixed that for you...

Where do they call it front midship? I see FR.

Heh, trunk was designed to be able to fit four tires. That's fantastic. :awe:
