Heh, just getting back into the swing of things here. I even changed back my avatar to the cow (representin' all y'all~! Moo!)

I guess I better make sure I take a piss before 9:00, since there'll be no commercials during tonight's show.

As usual, I'm expecting to be completely drawn in after the first episode.

Does anyone know if Nina will be on the show (at least for the first episode, if anything?).

They still have her character on Fox's 24 website. It says her background is classified pending an investigation.

What's so great about this show, anyway (I've enver seen it)?

The commercials don't make it look interesting at all. "You want results but you never want to get your hands dirty!" Oh, yeah, you're so macho mister guy with the gun.

"Get out of LA.." Oh no, there's a nuclear bomb in LA, I'm scared!


It looks like a crappy version of james bond or something...

You may not like it if you didn't see the first one (characters, story line, etc) It's one of those shows that looks/seems stupid at first but once you watch it is hella cool. No explanation, it just is. (Like Fast Lane)

AMen to that. This was my first time watching 24 and it kicked so much ass. My heart is still racing. I can't wait until next week and I'm definitly going to pick up last seasons DVD when I get a chance.

i saw the show for the first time tonight... i thought it was pretty damn good... i missed all of last season though so i think i have to go to costco and buy it for 39.99... did a lot of tonights events relate to last season?? and whats up with all the blonde chicks?

Wow it was a great show.

i didnt get to see the first season so i might go buy it to catch up.

but there did seem to be a lot of blonde women in it. they were cute but they should have used redheads..:D

well well, it's good to see 24 coming back for another action-packed season.

Rishi, good to see you startin things off good -- moo to ya :p

Some of my thoughts:

- Kim looks a lot older these days, what the hell is she, a nanny?
- Already an abusive husband in the picture? These Bauers attract violence
- It's good to see Palmer's wife nowhere to be found!
- Jack vs. George is going to be cool all season
- The hell's up with Tony's hair?
- Nuclear bomb in LA.... okay, I'm waiting for the wrinkles in this tale, because that's a pretty cliche start
- Is that Paula chick the chick from Roseanne? Ha! Good to see her in a new role
- I miss Nina :(
- Kate could prove to be pretty hardcore... I like that subplot

thas all for now...... LOVED the no commercials!

EXCELLENT episode!

Average episode IMO. Not as good as the best from last year, and not nearly as bad as the worst of them. But even a mediocre episode by 24 standards is still far better than anything else on broadcast TV these days, so I'm satisfied. :)

Clearly the Kim subplot will continue to be the weakest link on the show, just like last year. :(

I would like to extend my most sincere thanks to Ford for granting me a break from the barrage of loud, obnoxious political ads. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to experience a full hour of quality television without having to see [insert politician of your choice here]'s smarmy face or hear his incessant whining.

Wait why the hell did Jack shoot that guy? Maybe me slamming my head on the ice twice ice skating today is making me comprehend things slower but I don't get that at all (yes it hurt)

Other than that, great show. Now I get to watch Smallville tomorrow on tape :D

We don't know yet, but I assume he's going to use the dead body in negotiations for soemthing else.

Jack's got balls :D

It was driving me nuts trying to remember her name for about 15 mins of the show :). Thought it was a pretty good episode and I can't wait to see what he has planned with the hacksaw :D.


Anybody know if they are going to reshow it again during the week like last season?
