kind of hard to compare the winter olympics to the summer when there's drastically fewer events/medals...

Yes, double-you-tee-eff, how can they have this before opening ceremonies?Originally posted by: FeuerFrei
I thought games began on the 8th. Not the 7th.
Just heard on ESPN that four US olympians got a sort of reprimand for wearing pollution masks. Seems pretty stupid because many Chinese themselves wear those same masks. I guess it's seen as making a statement; but what's wrong with making a statement when it's already a well established truth?Originally posted by: Skoorb
Lawls, they keep calling this filthy air "mist".
Bad PR and rude to the host. They're supposed to hack their lungs up like men and not cry about itOriginally posted by: TastesLikeChicken

It was a defense that seemingly needed little bolstering, as the Americans allowed only two goals in their five qualifying matches.
"We are concerned about goals," Nowak said. "But everyone is looking at the negatives. I prefer to look at the positives. In the qualifiers, we created chances."
Might depend on who has better mask technology? Of course, no doubt China has an edge on knowing how to get a proper breath of air in their own major cities.Originally posted by: sunzt
Lol I feel bad for the US men's soccer team:

But only 2 goals! It be fun to watch a game to see who's worse, the US or the Chinese men's soccer team.

Depends where you are. If you have Satellite or are in China, you can stream olympics live 24/7 on CCTV channels. If in the US you need to go to www.nbcolympics.com and stream it from there. However, nbcolympics does not show all of the games like the Chinese CCTV.
The 3rd option regardless where you live is to download ppstream and stream it off the olympic channel, but the program is in Chinese so you gotta figure your way around it.
