Interestingly enough, becuase my spec v is a manual spec v -- it took away 500 dollars worth of value (as opposed to all the automatic spec v's out there :confused;) Anyhow - I cant complain - insurance actually valued my car higher than the KBB value.

So now i'm looking for a new car - trying to keep it as close to or under 25k and reasonable to insure. I'd prefer a sedan with 6spd manual (not to many of them out there) - And at least as fun to drive as my Nissan was.

So far i've decided to take a look at the following

Subaru Legacy GT - turbocharged / 250 hp... very nice performnce, not sure about other aspects.
Acura TSX - 6 speed manual tranny, seems moderatly sporty, love the styling. Not sure how fun it actually is to drive though. Although its basically an accord - i really like the style of the TSX.
Honda Accord v6 EX Coupe - 6 speed tranny, 240hp, should be fun to drive - however its a coupe and i really would rather have a sedan. Styling is okay - can't stand the Sedan version.
Mazda6 v6 - probably the most affordable, very fun to drive. Nice styling.

Some of the guys around the office have tossed in a few other ideas such as the chrysler 300 which i dunno... i don tthink i'm pimp enough to pull it off. Possibly a BMW 3 series, however i'm not sure i really like the 325, and the 330 is out of my range. I could possibly get a 350z base model -- definetly fun to drive, however not as practical.. I've thrown some other possibilities on the poll as well.

If you have anything else feel free to let me know, i'll add it to the list.

cliff notes:

need a new car in the 25-ish range
must be fun to drive, practical, reasonable to maintain
sedan is a plus

Oh yeah, how old are you?

This makes the different car classes much more skewed.

considered the WRX, but I've driven them around in the past and they're really not that nice. I'd prefer a slightly more refined car if possible. (such as the Legacy)

WRX-STi but it's a little out of your price range.

Legacy 2.5 GT with manual transmission would be a good choice. AWD + 250hp = Fun!!! I test drove one and I was impressed.

OH dude, then you need the IS300. It's perfect.

Great car for young professionals. (WRX + EVO = Teenybopper rides.) It meets all your needs too, fun, sporty/luxo, sedan.

I'll give them a look when I check out the Legacy.. If they really have improved I definetly will consider one. (despite how ugly they are ;))

I'd say the 6, but you already got one in your household. Getting another of the same color isn't... Iono...

I like the IS, but then the newer version is coming out, so that'll push the prices down then, while you're buying now. Get much snow around where you live? I don't like the accord coupe or the TSX much. Gas Mileage a factor? i4 or v6? What about a G35 or an Audi A4?

well the SRT4 would be ricey, but its fast as hell. 300 is a pimp car :), base 350z would also be sweet. newer altima/maximas can be suped like crazy (so if you're into modding, these or the Z will work well).

g35 is too expensive.. doubt i could pick one up in my price range. I would love to have one though. (If i could afford it, it would be at the top of mylist)

Gas mileage isn't too important - i have a pretty short commute everyday. However whatever i car i do get is going to be around for a while most likely - so i'd like it to be pretty reliable.
