That was too funny. I hope that crazy fucker is next.

But then I thought that for the last few weeks.

Rob and gang need to keep him around as long as possible, unless he has a complete mental breakdown. If I was Rob I would be looking to take Philip to the end - no one is going to vote for that loon. :)

It would be funny for Philip to try and say he played a great game to the jury and that's why he is in the finals. It would be no you didn't, you just were easy to beat, that's why you are here.

Who's to say that wasn't his tactic to make it to the finals (by pretending to be so unlikeable)? It would be the greatest fakeout!

On second thought, nah. :D

Phillip reminds me of Coach, who wasn't as wacko, but so earnestly believed in his own greatness.

Coach was not bat shit crazy like Phillip, and he actually had some likeable qualities. Phillip - not so much. Everyone avoids him like the plague around camp. He's like neckderp here on ATOT :)

Of course the impressions we get from watching the episodes on TV might be very different from those of the people actually "in the game", but I can't help thinking that Rob is having so much fun controlling the tactical week-to-week action that he's completely lost sight of what his long-term strategy for winning needs to be.

He's so obviously in full control of the tribe that every person who ends up on this jury will be thinking it was Rob who was responsible for putting him/her there. With two immumity idols in hand, Rob seems destined to make the final three(?), but who on the jury will vote for him?

After seeing his rival banished early, Rob has perversely slipped himself into the same "bad guy" role that earned Russel zero votes.

It'll be interesting to see if he can somehow recover...

He could try and get Rob voted out towards the end. Anyone going up against Rob loses. If Phillip were able to convince two girls that he was their best shot at winning the 1 million, he'd probably win since the girls did nothing strategically the entire game. At least with Phillip, he could say, I was on the ousts with real alliance in the beginning, was at the bottom of the Rob alliance and I played up the crazy and annoying angle to keep myself around and it worked because here I am.

Rob doesn't have two hidden immunity idols. If he does, I don't recall him ever finding the second one. Unless you're talking the one he won at challenge.

LOL i cannot WAIT for the reunion show, where they do a bit that flashes back to russel telling his entire tribe that they need to go to the merge with numbers, or they will be picked off 1 by 1.

then russel is going to flat out rub that shit in till the grave to the whole tribe.

CANNOT WAIT!!!!

The Ponderosa videos are up at the CBS site, kinda boring ones so far though. I have a feeling someone on the crew told Phil where his trunks were, no way he could do the rest of the show with just those pink bun huggers. On to Julie, if her house is in fore-closer, the last place I would be is out of the country playing a game.

Does no one on the former Ometepe tribe realize that they have no chance against Rob if he gets to the finals?

yea the "emotional" moments in last nights episodes, with matt crying and julie giving us her sob story, my wife and i both broke out laughing at both of those.

i was also surprised they didn't get more reactions/comments from other members when phil got his trunks back. and yea, kinda far fetched that he just found them randomly...

Dude, his great grandfather is a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. You don't think he could magically find the trunks on his own? Obviously you know nothing about being the grandson of a full-blooded Cherokee Indian.

I agree. That's the biggest "WTF?!" moment of this seasons thus far for me. Grant is a monster in challenges, but that will likely make him #1 target for Rob. Phil is nuts (or so we're to think) so nobody is going to give him the cash. The 3 girls are useless and do NOTHING except make me wish I was 10 years younger.

The ONLY play Ometepe has now is to vote Rob off HERE AND NOW. He HAS to be the next one gone.

Then again.... there's still Matt.

All I can say is if Matt makes it to the final 3... yes by some grace of God.... he will win in a heartbeat.

I have been to Indian Casino's, I am well educated about Indian's. I haven't seen anyone come in from the Cherokee clan and be guided right to a winning slot machine. Maybe Phil will show up one day and help me out.

I'm confused why that Rob guy is still there, and why everyone does what he says. He's one person. Everyone talks about worrying about Rob taking them here, or doing this or that..he's just one dude wtf? Just vote him out, he's one person.

I admit. I'm smitten with Ashley (thats the tall blonde drink of water right?)
That is pre-starvation skinniness. The weight that these girls get down to on the show is disgusting.

As Ometepe now starts to eat itself, I think they'll dwindle down in the Redemption Island challenges. I'm guessing either Andrea or Grant are the next to go if Rob had it his way. Maybe the tribe will wisen up and vote Rob out but I doubt it. I wonder if they're planning on inserting 2 players back into the game as it would suck to insert only 1 player and have that player get voted off in the very next tribal council.

I've thought about the possibility of them popping 2 back in at the last Redemption Island. It would make sense as two would/could shake up any alliances that were there with 5 remaining cast members.

If it was 1, you'd think they'd get nuked in a second upon returning to the tribe) (especially if it's Matt or a Zapatara of course).

I have to say my hat is totally off to Ometepe. They did what I have thought for many seasons. You get that SUPER CORE GROUP and you can't be stopped. You will make it to the final 5/6/7 if you JUST STICK TOGETHER. No back stabbing. No bullshit. No lies. Just VOTE TOGETHER and you make it super deep into the game.

There are downsides to that as well. Making it super deep pays as much money as being voted off first. If you think you're the last choice in your group of 5-6, then I can easily see why people jump ship and make a move. I don't get why people are so excited because they finished 5th or 6th...

You sure about the payouts?
I thought it was a sliding scale of sorts.
