I sent them an email complaining about them not addressing the issue (of being stuck in 60Hz for games). They replied:

Hello,

Please use the utility MultiRes. Right click on the icon then choose about and then click lock refresh rates. In the future Nvidia will incorporate this utility in the reference drivers.
