I havent really kept up on the current bitch fest, but wow t release (and by release we mean for almost the first six months) was pretty bad. I had all the days refunded still in my account history to prove it.

After looking through TORhead a bit i think i've decided on synthweaving, Archeology and underworld trading.

Thats good to know. i figured there was i just hadnt looked for one. Didnt see any reason to at level 22ish when i stopped playing to need a bank yeet.

My friend who was playing with me told me he could craft with the mats in his bank, so he deposited all his gathered stuff pretty regularly for bag space. I think there is a decent amt of bag space but I never wanted to spend the first 5k before like 20 just so I could focus all the cash on crafting.

That would be nice. I always hated having to run to my bank to get mats for stuff in WoW. As for bag space...i never really needed more but i did buy the first "row" of storage. Though i could have avoided it (and probably will in the real game) by just sending my companion to sell stuff more than i did.

Raids are all instanced, right?

Are there any mobs that drop anything of importance (ie rare gear, whatever) that are NOT instanced? Would make for awesome PvP wars to fight over control of the zone.

Yes - mobs did randomly drop rare gear [earliest I saw was in Dromund Kaas]. Funny thing is the item I looted was for a Jedi Knight...when my character was an Agent. :)

Previous beta session - I looted 2 or 7 pieces of light side gear for the agent class - made me look like the main character from Assassin's Creed. :)

There are pvp controlled zones - from what I saw they start on Alderaan. However, I did see "scanners" installed near the taxi points starting on Tatooine - so I'm going to assume those will flag [and unstealth] anyone within a certain range. You'll have to take down level 50 guardians though... :)

I thought someone above said that gear was tradeable until you equipped it? Can't, therefore, you hand it to someone of the right class as long as you don't? Also, can you sell everything you loot to NPC merchants, tradeable or not, and how quickly do you get cash relatively to things you might actually want to buy?

Another thing...is there a good chat system? Group etc but most importantly a good general serverwide chat? One thing I liked in EQ is how you could type /join general, and each channel held 200 people.

Also, you could for example, if you were a cleric, /join serverwide.cleric and speak with some of the leading clerics around the game. Whenever a new expansion came out, that would be a great way to see high level guilds linking new gear drops as they discovered them.

Of course a lot of serverwide.cleric chats had to do with advice on skilling up, finding spells, choosing equipment, etc...I'm thinking TOR sounds like there's a hell of a lot less advice needed.

No, anyone who downloaded after Thanksgiving is good.
I would uninstall and reinstall just to get rid of all the unnecessary files and folders. Some people still have folders that are as big as 27GB ready to go, when the game is about 19GB.

I got an epic off a strong mob while questing on Coruscant.

I generally prefer PVE and that's because I have a job, take classes, and so I don't spend more than an hour a day at most playing these games. That kind of time limit severely gimps me in PVP play, but thankfully PVE is something that I can get into and out of whenever I want/need and there's little to no penalty.
I take it space bar will be your friend?

Oh dang, Christmas comes early.

On another note, if anyone is still looking for the Collector's Edition, Newegg has a few on sale. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832130291

Not sure though, if there's enough time or slots left for the early access.

If they haven't taken that link down by now I would be really surprised if they don't cancel my CE order on release day. I just don't see them having more CE allotment than the retailers listed on the swtor.com.

What I don't understand is why the forums have to go down whenever they are working on the servers?

Yeah, the space implementation is SEVERELY disappointing, like it really lowers my overall view of the game. I'm still excited to play the rest of it, though.

Well, here's the question...are they willing to evolve it over time? Keep expanding? EVE for example, is space only, no ground combat...but isn't Dust 514 supposed to integrate? If they add true space combat later, that's fine, even if 5 years down the road.

Of course, now, for true space combat it would need to function almost like...I want to say a first person shooter but that's not what I mean...it would be twitch combat, you shoot, and you hit or miss based on skill and not dice rolls. Of course, being Star Wars, everyone can have awesome deflector shields that you have to wear down.
