That's the best thing about this game! :awe: I hope it doesn't change too much at later levels.

KT

That's the part that is slowly turning me off. I never finished KOTOR but it never felt this linear or maybe I am just remembering it wrong.

This is a great game but it might not be for me. Sub for next month has already been cancelled. I might be stuck with EVE as my MMO for now. :'(

Will probably get the game on Saturday since I will be back at school and can download it fast.

Has there been any information on server transfers? Just wondering on how much thought to put into server choice. Definitely going PvP, so obviously I mean if I decided I wanted to be on a different PvP server.

They have plans for it but I doubt its very high up on their priority list at the moment.

So after playing through the first 10-15 levels of the various classes..I've decided that I like the Bounty Hunter the best.

The ship is amazing..really suits the feel of the class.

Mako (First companion) is by far the most useful companion.

The dialogues and responses feel much more real..I feel like I have much more choice and direction..which I guess is true since I'm a contracted BH

Thank you jesus, finally after about 30 levels there were some orange robes on Taris that weren't completely hideous.

Getting more burned out, so I think I need to take a break. I'm at lvl 43 and I really tried to play last night but had no motivation (could've been the wine though! :awe:). I hope I can hit 44 or 45 this weekend and then maybe hit 50 in the next few weeks and take a break.

I finished up the Corellia quests last night. Made a ton of money and promptly spent it all buying the last of my artificing recipes, which cost about 90k. I still need to finish learning all of my class abilities...

Does Ilum have quests? If not, how does one make money at 50? Is there a hub with solo-able dailies?

Both Ilum and Belsavis have soloable dailies you can run at 50. (Also a few heroic quests as well).

On a related note, why doesn't the speeder on drumaan kaas connect from the spaceport into the city? Cannot go from the spaceport all the way to the trainers in the capitol building or whatever, and you especially cannot travel from the spaceport to the sith temple on the other side of the map without a jog through the city to a connecting speeder.

The only reason I can think is that the speeder at the entrance to the city is pre-discovered (so you can skip over the heroic area at the start), and the ones at the capitol building are pre-discovered (since you can't reach there except via speeder). If they were connected, you could go directly to the capitol building and "skip" the city if you were so inclined.

Met up with a couple of your L41 buddies on tat last night. A force cloak and sprint though kept me upright. Once the guards knocked out their companies and had them at half health and running away I was thinking about returning the favor but they still each had as much health as me.

My brother was attacked by 3 people near his level and managed to escape using similar tactics. What guild were your attackers in?

Have no idea, it was a jug and sniper attacking the first repub outpost outside of the spaceport. Jug was named something like frostcard while inside an instance area I heard what sounded like combat sounds but didn't think about it then, got junped when I hit the vendor outside the barrier. Was also hearing on chatt that a couple of cloaked imps were hiding out in something called the mining pit.

After they atttacked me and went back to the edge of town I walked to the border to give them a good laugh emote, only to find out that the damn emote system breaks stealth so I sprinted back towards the town center waiting on stealth c/d tto reset.

I've been on hoth on my solo OP (40) and I've never seen so much PvP. I killed enough republic players that they got several 50s to roam around. It was hilarious. Time to quest and level!!!!! Killed several 43s as well, although I am geared as hell and they probably weren't.

I had one 50 chase me all the way to my Imperial camp then promptly died by guards only the keep ressing on the same spot to keep going deeper to find me. Somehow he made it all the way in but then the players whooped him and he zoned out.

Hilarious!

I'm on Crucible Pits west coast PvP server, name Leedus.

Remember, if any of you guys are Sith and on Iron Citadel, hit me up and I can invite you to my guild. We're recruiting solid players for PvP, questing, raids, crafting, etc. We're not hardcore and don't expect people to play 80 hrs a week, either.

LOL at the CTRL-ALT-DEL post.

Just hit 40 last night - Quesh [Imperial side] was extremely short - I think it literally took me a few hours to complete and I didn't see any datacrons either. From what I recall - the Republic side had more to do [I beta'd as a Smuggler during the last beta before the game went live]. Off to Hoth which I've heard is one of the favorite planets to quest on.

Act 2 of the Agent story is ok so far - just wondering if all 3 Acts will somehow tie in with each other eventually. During Beta, they randomized me an Imperial Sniper to level on Belsavis - which of course had Act 3 storyline. I had no option either as the other level 40 character was bugged.

Really surprised I'm not seeing more PVP [I'm not actively looking for it - but find it odd considering Nar Shaddaa bonus series quests [Imperial] are mostly in Republic territory]

Taris - none
Quesh - none

There is a datacron in a cave near the middle Imperial base -- really easy to get to and IIRC, gives you +4 endurance.

I'd have to say Alderaan is my favorite so far.

You will see lots of it on Hoth in all likelihood, believe me. Take care going into the Geothermal plant -- if you can, bring friends.

The last C-A-D comic there is the first one I've ever read that made me laugh.

Hey folks I will probably be buying this game soon. I was wondering, there are several editions you can buy (collectors edition, etc). Which one would you recommend buying? Also, would anyone recommend buying it online or at brick & mortar? Thanks

Edit: What I care most about are the exclusive in-game bonuses. Are they worth the extra price?

There are 3 versions. Standard, Digital Deluxe and Collectors. I got the Digital Deluxe because it came with a mount, but I'm fairly underwhelmed by it, and in game terms the cost is really not a big deal (8k credits; the skill to use it isn't included and is 40k credits at level 25). You get access to additional vendors with each tier; the DD vendor only sells one mount at this time, for a shitload of credits; I'm not sure what the CE vendors sells.

The DD version also comes with some social gadgets which, in my book, were novel for about 30 seconds then went into my bank where they will no doubt take up valuable space until the end of time, since I can't seem to bring myself to delete anything. Ever.

Really cause everyone on Alderaan chat talks about how much they hate it and are so glad that it gets destroyed in ROTJ.

Alderaan was my favorite. Republic side so not sure if thtat matters. just felt more open and free roaming to me i guess than previous planets.

FYI -- It got destroyed in ANH.

Alderaan is a gorgeous looking planet. The rest so far are "meh." I also prefer Galaxies' depiction of Tatooine to the one in TOR.

save your money and get the regular edition online. also, don't buy their security token if you have a smartphone, since the apps are free.

if you buy an mmo on disc, it will download everything anyway. physical discs are of so little value to me now, i didn't put an optical drive in my game box.
