Starts at 7:30 PST and is on ESPN. This will be Shaq?s first game back since the calf injury last week, so he?s playing. Duncan and Parker are playing too, unlike the last meeting between the Lakers and Spurs earlier this November.

This game is at Staples. Next Wednesday the Lakers meet the Spurs again, this time on the Spurs? home turf. That game is on KCAL and therefore can only be viewed by So Cal residents. It starts at 5:30pm.

Let the games begin. :)

Lakers are crushing the poor spurs. :/ Went to the ESPN NBA site and started laughing my ass off.

Site

Couldn't they have picked a better picture of shaq?

Picture just incase they change it.

*yawn* What a crappy game. Sacto/Houston was crappy also...
Lets hurry up and get a Kings/Lakers playoff series going. Forget the Spurs.

The lakers seem to have it rolling pretty well - they move the ball more and play with more purpose than any of the other teams/games I've seen so far this year.

The Lakers were playing better than the Spurs before the game started today. That much was obvious. Though I am shocked the Lakers beat them by 30 before the reserves came in, I was thinking it would be relatively close most of the game but that the Lakers would have a comfortable cushion of about 8-10 points the whole way. But 10 to 30 points, geez.

all i can say is this is most poorly officiated game i have seen in a long time...

Besides maybe two calls, a well officiated game IMO.

Lakers looks way too good:). Shaq/Kobe combined for only 25 pts and they won easily. Good Gawd!

The east was a huge joke last year and this year the east looks even worse. Pacers and Hornets? Those are NCAA caliber opponents.:D

it's funny how lakers haters always think it's poor officiating when they win.

He obviously hasn't watched many basketball game if he thought THIS was the worst officated game. The only bad play that came into mind was when Horace Grant took that little jump and wasn't called for traveling.

Well, these Spurs are definitely not last year's champions... They just had nothing going offensively last night.

The funny thing is the Lakers with all these star players somehow look more vulnerable this year than they did the last three or four. It looks as though a perimeter-shooting team could take them.

Actually the first half of the game was very poorly officiated. That isn't why the Spurs lost but at least people should be able to admit the obvious.

The only team capable of doing that while not giving up 125 points on the other end are the Kings. But the Lakers aren't more vunerable compared to previous years because GP and Karl joined the Lakers; they are both huge upgrades on O and D compared to Fisher and Horry/Walker/Madsen.

obviously you didnt see some of the plays i saw

evan, the shaq block was a blown call, it would have given him his third foul so it was a big call

masterxfob, you're an idiot. just because everyone doesnt bow down to the lakers doesnt make them a Hater

edit: wicktron, i agree with you that the kings are gonna give the lakers more competition than the spurs

I think the Lakers only weakness is depth. Their bench, IMO, is pretty weak, besides Fisher, who, by years end, could be near the top of the 6th Man race with the likes of Bobby Jackson.

The haters can hate all they want but we all know the spurs got OWNED.

About the officiating, i'd say there were about 5-6 calls that went in favor of the Lakers.
