It seems to have a lot of nice, yet un-necessary cost-increasing options such as auto-water sensing wipers and auto-lights.
Standard features with respective trims
GX trim:
- 2.0l, 148hp, 135lb-ft, no variable valve timing
- 4-wheel discs
- P195/65R15 with wheel covers
- exhaust garnish
- AM/FM radio with clock and 2 speakers
- tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- internal trunk release
- mechanical HVAC controls
- dual front airbags
- adjustable rear seat headrests (even the N.American-spec Mazda6 sedan doesn't have this)
- floor mats
- illuminated ignition key
GS trim (all GX plus below):
- 15-inch alloys
- front mud guards
- rain-sensing intermittent wipers
- auto light control (what this means exactly, I don't know)
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers
- steering wheel audio controls
- map lamps
- keyless entry
GT trim (all GS plus below):
- 2.3l, 160hp, 151lb-ft, variable valve timing
- P205/55R16 alloys
- ABS with EBFD
- fog lights
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers, 2 tweeters
- air conditioning
- power windows
- anti-theft alarm
- two-tone sport type cloth seats (this is really cool, it's like the MX Sportif & RX-8)
- 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel
- leather shift knob
- carbon-like finish on center panel (similar to the ones on the Mazda6, I guess this is why the glossy 'piano-black' from the MX Sportif was removed)
- cruise control, buttons on steering wheel
The most fully loaded car is a GT with GFX package and leather seats (leather is black-only, not 2-tone).
GFX package:
- moonroof
- P205/50R17 alloys
- sporty bumpers
- side sill extensions
- body coloured grille
Basically, the GFX package looks like picture #'s 1, 9, and 10 on MazdaUSA's Mazda3 section. The regular one looks like picture #'s 2, 6, and 7.
Colours:
- black mica
- sunlight silver metallic
- titanium gray metallic
- indigo blue metallic
- sand mica
- velocity red metallic
- sunset orange metallic (GFX only)
- arctic white
Transmissions (for all trims):
- 5-speed manual standard, 4-speed sport mode auto optional
Coefficient of drag is poor:
- .320 for 15-inch wheel versions
- .331 for 16-inch wheel versions
- .332 for 17-inch wheel versions
Speed limiter:
- 188km/h for 2.0l, N/A for 2.3l
