the official sony PS2 dvd remote does not have a controller pass-through, meaning i can't have both a controller and the IR receiver plugged into the same port at the same time. i would like to buy this remote if i did not have to unplug the controllers.
so i was wondering if it was possible just to buy a PS2 multitap, keep two PS2 controllers on the 1st and 2nd port, and plug the IR receiver into the 3rd or 4th port, while having the memory card in the first memory card port? or is this not possible because the remote needs to be in controller port1 since the memory card is there too.
Note: please don't recommend me a 3rd party dvd remote that does have controller pass through, because I already have one of those. it just lacks the functionality of the official sony remote, as does every other 3rd party brand.
