We now have a Starbucks next door to a Starbucks.

The Safeway (a supermarket chain) down the street from me just finished remodeling recently. There's a Starbucks right next door and it's been there for years. Now when you go inside Safeway, there's a Starbucks staring back at you.

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where the whole mall turns into Starbucks.

Employee: Can I help you?
Bart: I'd like to get my ear pierced.
Employee: Well, better make it quick, kiddo. In five minutes this place is becoming a Starbucks.

There's a shopping plaza in El Cerrito, north of Berkeley, that has a Barnes n Nobles with a Starbucks, a Safeway with a Starbucks, and an actual Starbucks in it.

Edit: I see that you're from San Jose. Which plaza are you talking about?

They have some kind of algorithm that they run through - if there's profit to be made overall, you bet it'll be built.

Yep, it's like that in a lot of places. We have two here on opposite corners of the same intersection.

calm down dude.
go to east village, NYC. near the saint marks place - cooper square - astor place area

There's a Starbucks on every corner there:
Barnes and Noble on astor place
One on Astor Place and LaFayette
One on Astor Place 8th St and btwn 3rd and 4th ave (right next to LaFayette)
9th Street and 2nd Avenue
8th Street and University Place

and there's actually a whole bunch inside NYU property and Washington Square campus area. I havent been back since I graduated but there HAS to be a lot more today.

there's like another 5 in the Union Square area. but I'll save that for the next Starbucks thread. hehe

Try to map these locations with google map! its fun! ROFL

When the actors who play Starbuck in the original and new BSG go into the same Starbucks as the same time.

If the drivethru one is exclusively a drive thru, I could understand that. Having a sit-down and a drivethru in the same general location would make it easier for regulars to get drinks either way. But if the drive-thru is a normal store that happens to have a drive-thru window built in, then they're fuggin insane.
